I've been playing with business cards as a quicker way to set up mechanical disc brakes. So far I've had pretty good success! By loosening the caliper bolts, putting a business card between the rotor and pad on the fixed side, squeezing the lever, and tightening down the caliper bolts, then moving the adjustable side in until the lever feels good, it seems to work most of the time!
